Why Chris Banke is a Successful Dog Trainer

October 20, 2017

When he was just a teenager, Chris Banke came to the realization that he had a passion for dog training that had to be satisfied. It was, after all, his true calling. When he was just 15, he founded the Algemeiner Schutzhund Club, in part because he felt he had to. It was a fortunate move. While he was there, an older, more experienced trainer worked with him. One thing she recommended was that he focus his already keen talents on German Shepherds. It was a move he made happily and has never regretted since. Since then, he has become one of the top trainers in the United States, in part because it supplied him with enough work to improve his dog training skills even more.

Even at such a tender age, Chris Banke was already so good, he was able to found his very own dog training business, “Chris Banke Protection Dog Trainer” before he was 20. Not only was it successful from its location in northern Vermont, but it is still one of the best facilities in the country to this day, decades later. As if that's not impressive enough, Chris also founded his own breeding kennel at one point, with many of those dogs going on to star in numerous competitions at every level.
